Fashion: Five Keys to Building a Great Golf Wardrobe
1. Make sure that each women’s golf apparel purchase is part of a specific outfit.
2. Select complementary colors to build multiple options with minimal purchases.
3. Determine your style. Do you prefer skirts instead of shorts?
How important is a pocket? How can items you already own be incorporated into new women’s golf ensembles?
4. Know the code–the dress code–for the golf courses you regularly play and the courses you plan to visit.
5. Build your golf wardrobe with a four-season plan in mind. What items will you need each season? Jackets, performance wear or a cap? Identify what women’s golf apparel pieces you will need throughout the year.

Does Luck Trump Fashion?
I play better when I wear it. I’m happy when
it matches my outfit. It is always my first choice for headwear. The problem is my lucky hat is nowhere near fashionable. I’m one of those people who can get emotionally attached to a certain hat, golf glove or golf club. My hat was a

birthday gift from a friend and her children. I often wear it on very hot and humid days and after its last spin through the washing machine, I find myself thinking about the life expectancy of my lucky hat. I was wearing it the day I shot my lowest score. I was wearing it when I finally drove the green on an evil par three at our local course. The truth is I have also worn it many more times while climbing down banks, wading
through weeds and fishing my golf ball out of the creek. Maybe it is
not a lucky hat after all. In the end, fashion will trump, if not my lucky hat, my favorite hat.
